AHP’s encouraged to enter 2014 Advancing Healthcare Awards

Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Scientists and those who work alongside them in support roles are being encouraged to apply for the 2014 Advancing Healthcare Awards.

The unique awards programme which crosses boundaries and fosters partnership working is now in it’s eighth year, and recognises and rewards projects and professionals that lead innovative healthcare practice and make a real difference to patients’ lives in the healthcare science and allied health professions.

The 2014 awards are:

  • The Chief Scientific Officer’s award for Clinical Leadership, sponsored by the NHS England

  • The Chief Health Professions’ Officer’s award for Clinical Leadership, sponsored by the NHS England

  • The Caboo award for outstanding achievement by an AHP or healthcare science support worker or technician, sponsored by Caboo Design

  • NHS Employers’ award for Inspiring the workforce of the future

  • Allied Health Professions Federation award for Integrated care delivery

  • Unite the Union’s award for Working together

  • Scottish Government’s award for Improving quality: measuring and demonstrating impact

  • IPEM award for Patients as partners in science, sponsored by the Institute of Physics and Engineering in Medicine

  • Northern Ireland’s award for Maximising resources for success sponsored by Department of health, social services and public safety

  • Welsh Government’s Prevention is better than cure award

  • GateHouse Rising Star award, sponsored by GateHouse Learning and Development

  • Overall winner

Entrants have until the 17 January 2014 to submit their application, with the awards being presented on 11 April 2014.
